Former Khanya College African History student Mario Sefo has launched an interview series titled Heroes and Heroines Tell Their Stories, which focuses on documenting the personal histories of activists involved in the struggle against apartheid.

The series begins with Benson Mazwi Zono, a former Congress of South African Students (COSAS) leader during the 1980s.

He was detained under Section 29 of the Internal Security Act, forced into exile, and later joined uMkhonto weSizwe (MK).

    Forced into exile Arrested or detained without trial
  • Actively involved in the liberation struggle are encouraged to contribute so their histories can be preserved for future generations.
