Bloemfontein – The eviction of Bongekile Novasi by the ANC caucus in the Free State Legislature has shone a light on what is perceived as an abuse of power by the ruling party.
Novasi was not only ejected, but was also humiliated when ANC members questioned his attendance, creating the impression that the Legislature’s seating arrangements belonged to them and them alone.
At the heart of the matter is the confrontation between Zanele Sifuba and Novasi, with the former allegedly threatening the latter with legal action.
While Novasi attempted to explain himself and even apologised, he was still removed from the Legislature.

The feud between the two dates back to the period when Sifuba was appointed MEC, following the leaking of photographs that were linked to an alleged sextortion incident.
To this day, no criminal case has been laid in relation to the matter. While this publication has taken a decision not to publish the photographs, despite having them in its possession, should the matter proceed to court, the publication will report on any evidence formally presented as part of the court proceedings.
Thabo Meeko, spokesperson for the ANC in the Free State, had not responded to questions from this publication about the alleged or perceived abuse of power at the time of publication.
If the ANC deemed it fit to entangle itself in what we may say was a private movement hence we don’t refer to Sifuba in her official capacity then maybe we need to look deeper into this.
We leave in a world of sextoxion and that must be span on but people can’t be bullied because we can afford lawyers.
People can do whatever they like with their bodies for all we care but f you want attention for it, we will give it. Ask that fat and short guy.
