Parys – Kaap Die Hond are the new champions of the Edgar Legoale Soccer Tournament after clinching their maiden title, ending years of near misses.
This is according to Nacious Tshabalala, the founder, coach and player. He confirmed the victory, saying the win was particularly special as it marked the end of his coaching career.

An emotional Tshabalala, who is also retiring as a coach, could not hide his excitement.
“We are very proud of the team. It has always been my goal to retire as a coach after winning this tournament. This was my last tournament as both a player and a coach,” he said.
“We have been participating in this tournament for three years, and this is our first win.”
Among those in attendance were Sefora Ntombela, former Deputy President of the ANC Women’s League; Sibongile Besani, former ANC Free State Provincial Secretary; Polediso Motsoeneneng, Provincial Secretary of ANC in Free State, Ketso Makume, Deputy Chairperson of the ANC in the Free State; and Victoria De Beer-Mthombeni, Regional Chairperson of Fezile Dabi.
