KuGompo – The magistrate presiding over the bail hearing of Mlindelwa Tyekana, popularly known as Man B, and his bodyguards, Siyasanga Mashologu and Daluxolo Willie, did not hold back in criticising the conduct of the prosecution.
This comes after the prosecutor requested that the matter be postponed until Friday, citing the illness of the lead prosecutor.

Tyekana and his co-accused have been in custody since their arrest and are applying for bail after being charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and torture in the KuGompo High Court.

Magistrate Brett said he agreed with Advocate Phakade, the defence attorney.

Brett ruled that the bail hearing must continue, saying further delays would be unfair to the accused.

Four hours later, a new prosecutor, the third in two days, took over the matter, which continues this morning.

Man B allegedly shot a 16-year-old boy twice. The teenager is currently battling for his life in hospital, and his mother shared pictures of his condition with us.
