Bloemfontein – Residents of Heidedal gathered in numbers today as an African National Congress (ANC) councillor, Logan Kruger, rolled up her sleeves to serve plates of spinach and potatoes to the community. The initiative provided immediate relief to vulnerable households, bringing both nourishment and a sense of care to those in attendance.

Community members welcomed the gesture, with many expressing gratitude for the support during challenging times.
While concerns around service delivery in the area remain, residents acknowledged the importance of leaders being visible and present on the ground, engaging directly with the people they serve.
The initiative has also sparked broader conversations about the need for sustainable solutions.

While such acts of support make a meaningful difference, many residents expressed hope for continued improvements in service delivery and long-term development in Heidedal.
