Qwaqwa – Patients at Manapo Regional Hospital are raising concerns over non-functional lifts, while the Department of Health insists they are “under construction.”

Our investigation began at Pelonomi Tertiary Hospital, where all lifts were fully operational, a sharp contrast.
At Manapo, only one of the two lifts was working on arrival, despite both carrying emergency stickers.

Within minutes, multiple patients were forced to rely on the same lift, exposing the pressure on already strained infrastructure.
