Bloemfontein – Following reports and complaints that lifts at Pelonomi Tertiary Hospital were not working, STEPUPSANEWS visited the hospital on Friday to verify the situation.
The first stop was the Radiology Block, where all lifts were found to be operating smoothly.
The lifts were fully functional and even had music playing.

Both sides of the lift system were working without any problems.

The next stop was the Maternity Block, where lifts were also found to be functioning normally.

An employee at the hospital who spoke in condition of anonymity said it’s not true patients are carried using blankets.
“It’s therefore not true that lifts at the hospital are not working or that patients are being carried using blankets.”
