The solemn service was led by parish priest Fr Mmolaoa O.M.I, who served as the main celebrant.
He was joined by Fr Francis Hashatsi, Fr S Khamali, Fr R. Mothe O.M.I, as well as Fr E Rakaki.

Delivering the homily, Fr Hashatsi reflected on the meaning of life and death in the Christian faith.
He reminded mourners that Ntate Lekota was once brought to the altar while alive in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and that now, following his passing, he was again brought before the altar in the same name.

The priest also reminded those in attendance that death is a reality that awaits everyone. However, he said remembering death should not be done in fear, but rather as a reminder to live a life guided by faith and purpose.
Mourners filled the church in prayer and reflection as they paid their final respects to the veteran politician and struggle stalwart.
Among those in attendance was Segupi Malebo, ANC Veteran.

As Roman Catholics prayer, “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.”
