Bloemfontein – A family of four living in Shannon, just outside Heidedal in Bloemfontein, will finally receive an electricity connection after 37 years, following an intervention aimed at improving the living conditions of Modise Lebeoana and his ailing mother.
Lebeoana has been battling serious health complications since September 2024 after suffering from collapsed lungs.
He is currently dependent on oxygen support 24 hours a day, making access to electricity critical for his survival.
Speaking exclusively to STEPUPSANEWS, Lebeoana described the daily challenges faced by his family, particularly the difficulty of operating an oxygen machine without a reliable power supply.
