Bloemfontein – The Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality has appointed its Municipal Manager, Advocate Mzwakhe Mofokeng, to head its water entity.
According to leaked council resolutions dated 11 May, the Executive Mayor is directed to submit a report on the dissolution of MAP Water.
The council also appointed its Municipal Manager, Mofokeng to head MAP Water.

Mofokeng and his Limpopo based law firm were at the forefront of efforts to dissolve MAP Water. Today, he is heading the very entity he was involved in dissolving.
Separation of power seem to have escaped many and once again, Gwede Mantashe was right when he said capacity in councils is a foreign idea.
