Bloemfontein – The Mangaung Taxi Rank will finally be in operation and expanded, seventeen years after its completion.

This is according to Nokuthula Chakane, Head of Department for Planning, Economic and Rural Development.
Chakane said the municipality is engaging both GBTA and Community Safety, Roads and Transport on sorting out contractual issues.
WATCH
A walkabout at the rank shows toilets vandalised, with cables stolen.
WATCH
Chakane said they are paying R205,955 per month for security.
WATCH
The Mangaung Taxi Rank has been a white elephant, and according to the Auditor-General, R350 million has been spent.
We have tried on several occasions to interview Executive Mayor, Greg Mosala Nthatisi to no avail.
First we reached out to him directly, and then Themba bit results were the same.
The middle moves to other parties in Mangaung ahead of LGE.
In other news: business men in Parys allege to be paid for work they have done, they are forced to pay an individual we once wrote about.
At the time, a payment of R400 000 was made but now there s more as we try to verify and link payments. Voicenotes and call recordings confirm some of the allegations.
Ngwathe Local Municipality has our attention.
