Bloemfontein – The African National Congress (ANC) in Mangaung has initiated a disciplinary process against Bongi Tsoleli, a convicted racist, merely three days after Stefanie Lockman-Naidoo, former speaker of Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality asked the ANC to take action.
Lockman-Naidoo shared her views with this publication on Friday wherein Judge Lawrance of Equality Court, ruled in her favour after she approached Equality Court over racial texts shared by Tsoleli in the WhatsApp group in which she, Lockman-Naidoo is a member.
WATCH:
On Monday, Sabelo Pitso, regional secretary of ANC in Mangaung sent mail in possession of this publication to the Regional Disciplinary Committee (RDC) notifying it of alleged misconduct by Tsoleli.
Pitso, gives notice to the RDC in that Tsoleli allegedly committed misconduct in terms of rule 25 sub-rule 25.9
“The Officials, NEC, the NWC, the PEC, the PWC, the REC, the RWC, the BEC or Office Bearers of any of these structures exercising its right to invoke disciplinary proceedings under this Constitution, may initiate and/or institute disciplinary proceedings against any member, office bearer or public representative of the Organisation in respect of any act of misconduct referred to in Rule 25.17 below.”
Among the five transgressions Tsoleli will be facing its 25.17.6
“Sowing racism, sexism, tribal chauvinism, religious and political intolerance, regionalism or any other form of discrimination”
Interestingly, the ANCWL in the province has not said a word since the judgment, not even “we note the judgment of Judge Lawrance, we will study the contents”, not even that.
The Executive Mayor of MMM, Greg Nthatisi has also taken “see no evil”, hear no evil approach.
What’s even worse is Tsoleli, in court papers said she got the texts from another ANC member, Theodore Mosala. If Tsoleli forwarded the texts, the person who sent her such must also be held accountable.
