Bloemfontein – The African National Congress in Free State will tonight host a prestige gala dinner at raising funds at the Marble Hall, PACOFS.
This comes after reports that the provincial liberation party’s bank account was left with R17 000 only and was struggling to pay its service providers with sources having mentioned Imvelo Lodge which hosted the provincial conference.
During the Lekgotla last month, officials were asked to contribute R10 000 while party councilors in Matjhabeng Local Municipality were asked to pay for taxis and sandwiches for January 8 celebrations.
The former MEC for Sport, Arts, Arts, and Culture and newly elected Treasurer, Mathabo Leebo announced the party will host the gala dinner in a video on the ANC Free State’s Facebook page.
According to Leeto tables will be sold as follows:
1 chair will be sold for R25 000
A table for ten people will be sold for R200 000
A table for ten people (platinum) will be sold for R350 000 and those on the platinum table will get 15 minutes with the newly appointed Free State Premier; Mxolisi Dukwana.
