The ANC Free State Interim Provincial Committee has called for Pit Bulls to be banned.
This comes just after the second incident in Hennenman where two Pitties killed a 3-year-old yesterday.
Paseka Nompondo, IPC Provincial Coordinator was very clear in addressing this issue.
“We call on all municipal councils to tighten bylaws on ownership of dogs, but ban the Pitbull breed.”
This is the second ANC leader to pronounce on the Pit Bull after Mapaseka Nkoane, Deputy Executive Mayor of Mangaung called for the ban.
Nkoane has been very consistent with this position and emphasizes that from January no resident will own a Pit Bill without a license.
These views were shared by Thanduxolo Khalipha, Matjhabeng Executive Mayor.
