The African National Congress in Free State is getting ready for its provincial conference in September.
This is according to Paseka Nompondo, Provincial Coordinator in an exclusive interview with the Step UP SA News team at the provincial headquarters, Kaizer Sebothelo House.
Nompondo who was elected Provincial Secretary in the now-defunct PEC is seen started the conversation with challenges facing the ANC and service delivery issues and gives details of cut off date for conferences.

With none of 25 municipalities getting clean audits we asked Nompondo if this is not reflecting badly on the ANC and its deployees, Nompondo promised consequence management.

With Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and Gauteng having held their elective conference, and as we all know the last time Free State delegates voted in the national conference was in 2007 in Polokwane as the 2012 and 2017 provincial conferences were challenged in court.
Asked about concerns from branches that National Chairperson, Gwede Mantashe who is touring the province is indirectly being used to campaign for Provincial Convener, Mxolisi Dukwana he said the IPC deployed Dukwana.

In other news the court declared IRCs to be disbanded a move seen as a road map to conference.
