The acting Chief Executive Officer of Universitas Hospital in Bloemfontein, Dr. Balekile Mzangwa tackles transformation at the previously white-dominant hospital.
Situated next to the University of The Free State the hospital catered for whites only pre-democracy, but now caters to everyone.
By profession, Dr. Mzangwa is a healthcare practitioner specializing as a General Worker.
Speaking exclusively to Step UP SA News Dr. Mzangwa said the hospital has the responsibility to assist other hospitals.

With regards to the University of the Free State, Dr. Mzangwa said they have a good relationship.

Like any other hospital, Universitas has its challenges, among them is the alleged shortage of nurses.
In other news the Health department will receive new disaster buses that will assist the EMS personnel in their fight to reach as many people as possible.
