DA fixes potholes in Mangaung within minutes

Staff reporter

Bloemfontein – With elections just 29 days away, service delivery or promises thereof will be key in determining which party gets votes in the Mangaung Metro.

For years, Mangaung residents have complained about potholes, and the city has even earned the title of “capital city of potholes”.

Even after former president Thabo Mbeki raised his concerns in February 2022, things got worse.

WATCH

Last week, it took the Democratic Alliance just hours to fix potholes on Nelson Mandela Drive.

WATCH

The road connects Mangaung with the N8 (Northern Cape/Lesotho) and the N1 (Johannesburg/Cape Town).

This simply shows that having potholes on Nelson Mandela Drive should never happen.

Mangaung is 100% under the ANC, and what the DA has shown is that they can fix things using their own resources.

For those who have been to Midvaal and Cape Town, they will attest that potholes are almost non-existent in those municipalities, and they are both under the DA.

More and more people have voiced their unhappiness about the lack of services, and voting for a party because of loyalty will likely be replaced by voting for a party that delivers.

This is what blacks live under in Mangaung.

WATCH

ANC leaders and most government employees stay in suburbs and are never affected by garbage and potholes, most disturbingly they stay in areas led by the same DA councillors.
