Bloemfontein – The Free State Department of Education held a memorial service in honour of its Chief Director for District Management, Mosweu Samuel Mokgobo.
The service was held at Kingdom Academy in Welkom, where colleagues, stakeholders, and community members have gathered to pay tribute to his life and legacy.
Thato Mphulenyane, Provincial Chairperson of the RCL, said Mokgobo was not just a name in the Department, as his work reached far beyond the classroom.

T. Mofokeng, former COSAS National Executive Committee member, also paid tribute.

S. Mgotywa from Harmony Gold Mine, speaking on behalf of stakeholders, said Mokgobo was not just an ordinary person.

In conclusion, Mgotywa said Mokgobo ensured that no learner was left behind.
