WATCH: “Tourism boosts the economy” – Advocate Motsoari

Bloemfontein – Lesotho has seen tourists flocking in numbers since covid-19 pandemic.

The landlocked and mountainous country affectionately known as the blanket nation, attracts tourists from far and wide.

Flagship attraction events are MoshoeshoeWalk, Maletsunyane Braai Festival and Afri Ski among others.

MoshoeshoeWalk is an annual event held in March starting Menkhoaneng to Thaba Bosiu over three days.

Next year it will be on 5-7 March 2026.

The participants walk 116 km broken down as follows:
Day1: 32 km
Day2: 54 km
Day3: 32 km

Maletsunyane Braai Festival offers something different, patrons enjoy music while braaing and there is the waterfall that’s 192 meters high.

Both these events are camping orientated, you experience nature at its best.
