Sesing transfer from Health linked to termination of several contracts and threatening to report the Coal tender to the Hawks

Bloemfontein – The transfer of Masechaba Sesing from department Heath to office of the Premier hardly 6 months after being transferred from Provincial Treasury has highlighted the inept corruption that is about to unfold.

At Treasury, Sesing was seen a stumbling block to payments linked ANC funders, now at Health, she was seen as a disruptor of service providers linked to infrastructure looting.

As reported last week, Sesing will pack her bags and start a new job in Premier’s office tomorrow, 1 July 2025.

STEPUPSANEWS can confirm Sesing terminated few contracts that rattled the political cage and among them its Vodacom, Patient Files Digitisation, and 10 000 blankets procured in 2023.

The cost for the Vodacom contract was R54 million and in April 2025, Vodacom officials visited Joyce “Pretenders” Mathae.

According a source in the infrastructure division at Bophelo House, Sesing improved accruals.

“In the four months at the helm, she managed to review the internal audit outcomes and started working on immediate turnaround plans which showed improvement on accruals reduction from over a Billion Rand to just below R900 million.

She also zoomed into infrastructure related projects which were taking forever to complete with National Hospital as the latest development post the fires it experienced last year.”

Our source said Sesing and Mofokeng stopped the loot.

“A huge chunk of the budget went to Infrastructure and invoices are pilling as no one wants to sign them off so much so staff even said they are starving because of Sesing and Mofokeng.

This in short shows that the department was allocated someone who was going to ensure that funds are channeled to services delivery improvements.”

Sesing allegedly threatening to report the coal tender to the Hawks following the probity excessive that angered Mathae.

With Sesing finally gone, Dr Mbulelo Nokwequ, Head of Department at DESTEA will allegedly act as HOD at Health before making way for Makalo Mohale, former MEC for DESTEA and Education.

Mohale will first be appointed to DESTEA as HOD and later transferred to Health.

We reported Tshidi Setai will be appointed spin doctor for Joyce “Pretenders” Mathae, it happened, we also reporters Advocate Molotsi will be reported DDG at Community Safety, Roads and Transport, it happened, now, we are now reporting Mosa Masemene, suspended head of Public Works and Infrastructure will be dismissed next month.

While on Mohale, there is an outstanding Public Service Commission (PSC) report hanging that involves him and Dr Mbulelo Nokwequ over employment of a candidate who was overlooked despite being the recommended candidate and a candidate who comes from the same place as Mohale was hired instead. This does mean Mohale got involved and he will rightfully say he was not the accounting officer.

At Education, Mohale spent R10 million on three events. Even here, he will say he was not the accounting officer.
