Free State Education accused of “cheating” by blocking under performing matriculants from writing final exams

Bloemfontein – A school principal and district director in Fezile Dabi are accused of prioritising the number 1 spot at by all means including cheating by “blocking under performing matriculants” from writing final exams.

This comes at the time the quality of Free State results has taken the centre stage after coming second last in terms of bachelor passes, just above Northern Cape.

Overall, Free State retained it’s number 1 spot nationally by obtaining 91% but only produced 17 000 bachelor passes while KZN produced 84 000 bachelor passes.

A parent in Parys has come out guns blazing accusing a school principal and a senior manager (names withheld) in the department of oppression.

“Our children didn’t write matric final exams as they were regarded as under performing learners.

They want to keep number 1 in Parys and surrounding towns.

Principal and senior official want to keep number 1 in Free State and Fezile Dabi. “

In conclusion she said.

“Our kids spent 12 years attending school and they didn’t write.”

Ironically, both Joyce “Pretenders” Mathae and Dr Mamiki “Mathlabs” Maboya held a prayer session for matriculants in Parys late last year.

Howard Ndaba, spokesperson for Free State Education didn’t respond to our questions despite saying “working on the responses”.
