Bloemfontein – Having disappeared into oblivion, Mxolisi Dukwana will reappear after public hibernation following his ousting as Premier in June 2024.
Dukwana who served as Premier from February 2023 till June 2024, after National and Provincial elections, failed to retain the premiership and lost to the incumbent Joyce “Pretenders” Mathae.
To make matters worse, Dukwana failed to make it in the EXECUTIVE despite being number 1 in the ANC provincial list as Provincial Chair and reduced to be a speaker of the legislature.

As self appointed head of deployment committee in the province, Dukwana was allegedly asked to leave a meeting by Mathae when she went to see Polediso “50 000 Jobs For The Youth” Motsoeneneng, Provincial Secretary in June after the abrupt postponement of EXCO announcement.
Sources alleged Mathae consulted Motsoeneneng due to Fikile Mbalula’s intervention.
Dukwana has not made any public appearances since then, not even once did he speak on anything.
As a chairperson, Dukwana even failed to take Free State residents into confidence in the corruption allegations made by Patrick “The Butcher” Phuti against Mathaes.
According to ANC insiders Dukwana will headline the January 8 celebrations in Parys on Saturday and if he does not speak on the current investigations against Mathaes then maybe the decision to overlook him was correct, can he man up?
The ANC will have a gala dinner on Friday and to attend, the most expensive table cost R300 000.
It would be interesting to see who attends and buys tables.
In other news, Mosa Masemene, head of department at Public Works and Infrastructure was allegedly served with audi alteram partem by Free State Premier Mathae.
This is a developing story.
