RTMC Advocate appointed in a position requiring Civil Engineering qualifications

Staff reporter

Bloemfontein – The appointment of two former Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) at the Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport has caused a stir as to who runs the show.

This follows a story we published on 11 April 2024, that two officials from RTMC; Lehasa Mazibuko and Advocate Mojalefa Molotsi would be appointed as CFO and DDG respectively, this was 6 days before the closing date (19 April 2024) of the advert.

STEPUPSANEWS can confirm that two officials have indeed been appointed as reported in April and they started this week.

Advocate Mojalefa Molotsi has been appointed to a position that requires Civil Engineering or Construction Management as a qualification.

According to the advertisement – the appropriate bachelor’s degree PLUS the relevant NQF level 8 qualification as recognized by
SAQA, Qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 8 -10 years.

The DDG interviews were held on 11 June 2024 and before the interviews, Advocate Molotsi was and is still involved in two cases involving Papi Masilo and another.

With Masilo already fired and sources say Muhammed next to be, is it a coincidence that the same people we said would be appointed 6 days before the posts closed have been appointed? Not even after interviews but before the advert closed.

In the interviews the former MEC now Premier Joyce Mathae was in the panel, she has now being replaced by Jabu “Gun Man” Mbalula who is also implicated in the Mangaung Ghost Association.

Mbalula is also alleged to be the one behind the “warning without process” of Bongani Regional Hospital saga during the EXCO visit.

In the video, Mathae makes reference to what Mbalula may have suggested to happen.

So, Community Safety, Roads and Transport is now under a person who benefited from Mangaung Ghost Workers Association and even urinates on basic employment conditions and we expect the department to run properly?

If you think he will do otherwise then think twice, his eyes are firmly on the Deputy Provincial Chairperson position and will have to deliver.

What is the connection between RTMC, Community Safety, Police and Roads, and the ANC Women’s League?

Family affairs running the department.
