Maseru – Latest data from our webmaster indicate this publication is growing way faster than anticipated.
In 2023, Step UP clocked 6.2 million hits with May and August enjoying the biggest share of 1 million and 1.8 million respectively.
Year-on-Year, the publication has grown by over 300% from 95 hits in January 2023 to 408 700 hits in January 2024.
As of the 15th of February 2024, we were on 245,285 hits just for February.
Further scrutiny shows South Africa is leading the way in terms of hits followed by Norway, Indonesia, the United States of America, and Nigeria.
We envisage to hit 15 million mark by end of December 2024.
We would not have achieved this let alone keep this publication going without our important stakeholders, our sources who go as far as risking their jobs and lives to share any piece of information with us.
Our stories have influenced the national discourse with mainstream media showing great deal of interest in what we publish and taking our stories few steps further.
This comes with a huge price of threats either legal or death but we keep it moving because they will not kill all of us, even if they succeed someone will take the baton and continue to expose the rot.
With elections coming in May, we intend to publish more and the stakes will be much higher.
Without resources, it’s very difficult but doable, we have opened a payfast account and the link will be shared in the coming days if not weeks, any donation will be appreciated.
Appreciation to the office of the Public Service Commission, Public Protector, Auditor General of South Africa, and Hawks for always responding to our inquiries.
The Free State Provincial Government used to respond till they realise we know more than they think and opt not to, which will not stop us from publishing.
