“Ace is a habitual liar” – Makume responds

Bloemfontein – The Member of Executive Council for both COGTA and Human Settlement, Ketso Makume has taken strong exception to utterances made by former SecretaryGeneral and Premier, Ace Magashule.

While addressing members of the media on Saturday, Magashule said under his leadership they build 1000 houses & produced 298 doctors, he further said there is no leadership in the province currently.

If ever there is anyone who can take Magashule on, direct and without hiding behind innuendoes, only Makume has thus far.

He did that last year in the same district while attending a funeral after Magashule said the current leadership is cruel, Makume responded, telling him to get off.

We asked for his comments and below is what he said.

“For far too long Ace has been allowed to believe that the ANC in the FS was his property and FS his farm and all of us here his subjects.

The ANC is an organisation when he is a leader and when he is not the ANC is something else.

Revolutionaries are men and women who are ready to lead and be led but those obsessed with leadership positions are like Ace who just see themselves as leaders.

We are busy dealing with the mess that was caused by Ace administration.

We are unable to build new houses currently because we must firstly deal with his mess, in the entire FS every community has unfinished projects and in the main is houses.

The backlog left by Ace administration is so immense and if I was him I was going to apologize to the community of the FS for inconveniences he has caused to their lives.

We are removing asbestos today and it is something that Ace administration failed to do dismally instead they syphoned the money to their personal benefits hence the matter in court.

In his imaginary thinking he has built 1000 houses per year but in reality he left the people with foundations, wall plates and empty sides in some of the areas.

Dark City and G Hostels are just one typical examples where money has been spent but no value for money n now we are supposed to deal with his mess.

There was never a leadership under Ace both in the ANC and Government instead there was a dealership, he used to conclude deals n himself being a dealmaker but for personal benefit.

He sidelined the best cadres of the ANC who were questioning his deals and style of leadership (dealership).

He used government and ANC to intimidate people and it was career limiting to question him

But Ace is suffering from the tendency of telling lies, he is a habitual liar and he needs assistance because he is even dangerous to himself.

On the bursaries and student funds we are so disturbed with the discovery made on how they corrupted the system which was meant for the good of our children but only to benefit individuals.

It so bad that a child will spend a four year outside hoping that when they come back they will come back and contribute to their communities but only to discover that some of the institutions were bogus and therefore their qualifications were not recognised.”
