Bloemfontein – At least two suspects from Lesotho linked to the disappearance of Sibongile Portia Ngwana are apprehended are behind bars after a cellphone analyst got involved, and with the driver of the vehicle that dumped her body confessing.

Sibongile Portia Ngwana, then 27 years old, disappeared on 26 November 2023 and her decomposed body was found on Thursday after the suspects allegedly pointed the police to where they dumped her body after burning it.

One of the two suspects known as Tall, told the police (last year), that they had been drinking and claimed, Ngwana left just before midnight.

On Thursday, 4th January 2024, two government mortuary cars, police vans, and private cars were spotted behind Heidedal Cemetery.

It’s not clear when the DNA results will be out but a source close to the police said the latest would be, Thursday, and the suspects will appear in court today, 8th January 2024 in court 20.

Step UP News has it on good authority that Ngwana was killed in a house in Bochabela and her body was dumped in Heidedal.

A source who spoke on condition of anonymity painted the picture of what happened.

“Sibongile video called one of her friends showing her who she was with and that proved to be a key moment as she was able to point out people who were with her before she disappeared, she also searched the house but found nothing.

Upon realizing her friend was missing, they asked where Tall was and she was told he went to work (The Market), when they got there they were told that he did not come to work. It later emerged he went to Lesotho and came back on Wednesday when the police interrogated him.”

Another source said it was the driver of the car that picked up the body of Ngwana who went to the police to report what had happened.

Both the driver and Tall are behind bars.”

It remains a mystery how people staying in that same house heard nothing when it is alleged they fought before he allegedly killed her.

Similarly, the killers of a 16-year-old Machaka Radebe whose body was found with stab wounds on the 4th December 2023 after being reported missing two days prior have been apprehended and bail denied.

Addition: Thabo Meeko, acting MEC for Social Development welcomed these developments.

“We are happy with these developments. They don’t deserve to leave amongst our people.”

In other news, Emely Mathapelo Motloung is also missing having left Villiers for Heideberg on the 2nd of December 2023, but she never arrived and her phone has been switched off.
