Tseletsele: ANC showing false teeth

Maseru – The immediate suspension of Xolani Tseletsele, the Executive Mayor of Kopanong Local Municipality in Xhariep District has caused a stir over what is called double standards, hypocrisy, and a Public Relations stunt.

Tseletsele, who was suspended over a viral video after confronting Kalebe Kalebe, a resident who allegedly complained about potholes in the municipality, and both Tseletsele and Kalebe have resolved the matter amicably after meeting with the police.

ANC members who spoke on condition of anonymity have accused the party of targeting Tseletsele because he is a sardine.

“What is happening to Stalin is exactly what happens to our comrades, we are not saying he was right but if anyone insults my mother I will go after them.

The ANC is using Stalin as a PR stunt ahead of elections and seeking public sympathy.”

Asked why they say Tseletsele is a sardine our source said.

“The ANC has not said or done anything to Victoria De Beer for allegedly killing a hitchhiker and months later, she was never called to appear before the selective integrity commission and we are told the Hawks are reworking the case.

Another typical example is a Mayor who called community members kaffirs and he too was never taken to the integrity commission”

In another incident, Abram Lebaka, Chief Whip of the ANC in Letsemeng Local Municipality was allegedly involved in a car accident with another car late last year and the driver of the other car lost his life.

Lebaka did not respond to our questions.

The ANC’s silence in these is very loud, there are also WhatsApp texts in the same municipality that indirectly implicate one of the new MECs who was sworn in after the provincial conference and the big question is what was her position then and why would she be engaged on supply chain matters?

Lately the Provincial Secretary, Polediso “50 000 Jobs For The Youth” Motsoeneng was caught on camera saying his leadership is a product of fraud while Treasurer, Mathabo Leeto was recorded telling delegates she will hire them at Department of Health and it’s happening, report from district directors confirm this as they told this publication their appointment letters for community health work are not signed and they are now required to restart the process and include voting cows.
