Bloemfontein – Another HoD threatened and the Free State Provincial Government does exactly what the Gauteng Provincial Government did to Babita Deokaran, nothing.

Hardly a week after ANC electoral commission secretary Livhuwani Matsila was hijacked, kidnapped, and robbed at gunpoint in a 20-hour ordeal in his third attack since the Nasrec conference when his first ordeal happened.

Matsila said he suspects he is targeted for his role in the ANC, working closely with former president Kgalema Motlanthe in vetting ANC members.

According to Matsila, his party has done exactly what South Africans have always complained about, nothing.

Lately, in other parts of the country political killings have increased drastically with public servants also targeted, Babita Deokrana is a classical example of a public servant and whistleblower left to fend for themselves.

Free State decided not to be left behind as Masego Tshabalala, the newly appointed Head of Department at Police, Roads and Transport received a text threatening the life of her family and her daughter.

The text in question was shared by Tshabalala on her social media and the original text alleged Tshabalala is targeting employees to impress Police, Roads, and Transport MEC Maqueen Mathae in the now-deleted post.

It is not clear why Tshabalala cropped out certain parts of that munch in the next post but the rest of the message remains the same.

Tshabalala is not the first and only HoD threatened, the Public Works and Infrastructure HoD is also facing the same.

These threats should not be taken lightly not as a member of the Hawks was gunned down in front of his house in Bloemfontein and the same with an employee of the power utility, Centlec.

The house belonging to the parents of Victoria De Beer and Premier’s House were burnt to ashes in separate incidents but not even a single arrest.

In the latest matter, the Free State Provincial Government has not even released a media statement for their employee but they were quick to release a statement about a pedophile sentenced to 8400 years.

They know so much about what the pedophile did but could not even support the family of a minor allegedly raped by one of their comrades.
