WATCH: Makume says local people should benefit from the local economy and employment

Staff reporter

Bloemfontein – Jubilations galore in Moqhaka as Ketso “Toto” Makume tells residents that locals must be on top of the food chain when it comes to business and jobs.

Unemployment in Free State dropped in the last quarter of 2022 at 33.8% after the Provincial Government created at least 50 082 posts through EPWP.

Makume’s preposition was welcomed by all those in attendance as municipalities and provincial government are full of people close to politicians as we previously reported on nepotism.

WATCH:

Makume also held meetings with Ngwathe Local municipality in order to address the water challenges dating back to 10 years.

There were protests in Parys that led to the house of Vic De Bee’s parents burnt down.

The Free State province is facing water challenges and Qwaqwa is worse.

Poll: Should local municipalities prioritize locals on jobs and businesses?
