ANC Free State divide and rule likely to hand the province to opposition next year

Staff reporter
Bloemfontein – The newly elected leadership of the province is fast shredding the renewal and unity card it used during its campaign sources say.

This followed the suspension of at least 5 ANC members in Mangaung including Monnapule Ntamo who was at the forefront of anti-Magashule for over 10 years.

One source with intimate knowledge said while Ntamo put his head on the block, most of those in the PEC were having coffee in the comfort of their homes.

“Comrade Ntamo went through the most and joined us as we fought the Magashule regime and those who are now deciding his fate never even once engaged in a protest against Ace.

When we went to Luthuli House he was there and today we have revolutionaries eyeing positions sidelining him again.’

Asked what he means again he said.

“When comrade Ntambo was supposed to be in the Interim Provincial Committee (IPC) he was sidelined and he was told he will be in the IRC and again that never happened because we have hypocrites leading this province.

Go check the list of those who were in the IPC and tell me what their contribution to the party is and trace their credentials.”

Another source spoke of the pending axing of Mangaung strongman Patrick Monyakoane.

‘We know they are going to sack comrade Monyakoane because they want to make an example of him so others can resign and make way for their own and the person behind it is supposed to be focusing on Luthili House but because of his agenda, he wants Patrick gone.

They are going to use a very flimsy excuse and he is going to appeal it like they tried with comrade Vusi Tshabalala and failed.

Our leaders (i will call them leaders because on paper they are), learned nothing from axing 16 councilors in Maluti-A-Phofung because the same leaders put the ANC into opposition benches.”

While on Maluti-A-Phofung, it looks like frustrated ANC members are ready to jump ship and join ATM as they are targeted.

In Lejweleputswa which is also imploding, the Patriotic Alliance is gaining some ground and it is a matter of time before those expelled join it and take a huge chunk of the ruling ANC.

In other news Step UP SA News is reliably informed the MECs, as predicted have rejected the offer to go to Cape Town after they were approached individually by the Provincial Working Committee to resign from the legislature and be deployed in National Assembly.

This according to sources is how Mojalefa Buti was played having resigned to make way for the new Premier, Mxolisi Dukwana. But who was an MP, resigned and promised to be Matjhabeng Executive Mayor and that never happened.

Both Mojalefa Buti and Jabu Mbalula, spokespersons for the ANC did not respond to our questions.
