IPC misdirects Step Aside on government officials

The under fire Free State, African National Congress Interim Provincial Committee which failed to convene the provincial conference as ordered by the court is now targeting government officials.

Having dismally failed since its establishment in 2021, the divided, directionless and clueless IPC seem to have learned nothing from State Capture Commission despite its leader having given testimony.

This follows reports that both IPC convener, Mxolisi Dukwana and deputy coordinator, Dihelele Motsoeneng want three senior officials known by this publication facing criminal charges paid out for the remainder of their contracts which could cost tax payers money close to R20 million.

According to sources in the IPC, Dukwana and Motsoeneng tried to push for the suspension of three senior officials or even paid out so they can replace them with their own but this move was thwarted.

“Well comrades Dukwana and Motsoeneng tried but failed because step aside is an ANC thing and not government.

When these officials go to court it will be government paying for lawyers, not ANC though the decision would have been taken by ANC.”

Another source said the Ramaphosa faction is focused on power over anything and Magashule seem to stay in their heads rent free.

“All they think of is power and everyone they think is close to Ace Magashule is targeted and they want to replace them with their allies like they did at Sport, Arts and Culture & COGTA.

Magashule lives in their heads rent free and already Magashule critics are employed.”

It’s very interesting that IPC has not said anything meaningful about 94 senior managers employed without minimum requirements of performance of MECs.

In other news, Ditaba Mokhutle who was arrested on Monday has been released on R3 000 bail.

Mokhutle has been a thorn for IPC by challenging it’s decisions and legitimacy. This then warrants a question: is he targeted or he has a case to answer?

Few months we reported how Dukwana logged out of IPC meeting after his suggestion for two Mayors facing charges to step aside was shot down.

Oupa Khoabane, IPC spokesperson could not be reached for a comment.

This is a developing story.
