Centlec fails to pay salaries

Employees at power utility, Centlec SOC are fuming following failure by the employer to pay salaries.
Three independent s ources who spoke on condition of anonymity said they have not been paid.

Another source said what’s making matters worse is lack of communication.

“We normally get paid on the 25th and this morning I was shocked when I did not get any notification, and there is no communication whatsoever.”

A senior manager at the power utility said it’s sad that decisions taken by his bosses affect all employees and their immediate families.

“Its unfortunate that those trusted with running Centlec are taking wrong decisions and nothing happens to them, their wrong decisions affect all employees and their immediate families.
We have bonds to pay, kids are back in schools, it’s a mess.”

Lele Mamatu, Centlec spokesperson could not be reached for a comment.
