NEWS JUST IN. Following an article we published on our website on 23 June 2021 about a senior official that was demoted after he was fingered in awarding irregular PPE tenders in Free State, has resigned.
STEP UP NEWS SA has it on good authority that the official implicated in the Free State PPE scandal resigned from department of Health and his last day was 30 June 2021.
He was moved from Treasury to Health in March following the SIU report which recommended he be charged criminally for fraud and Treasury to institute a disciplinary hearing.
According our source he has been terminated on the Health system.
It remains to be seen if SIU will freeze his pension funds.
