Ficksburg – As the Class of 2025 matriculants enter a new terrain, all eyes are on 2026 gang.
One of the Free State’s top performers, who achieved eight distinctions, recently shared his study techniques—insights that many current matric learners can benefit from.

On Friday, Central University of Technology’s Boet Troskie Hall was filled with top achievers during a celebration recognising academic excellence.

Boitumelo Secondary School
After achieving a 100% pass rate in Physical Sciences, producing multiple distinctions, and placing three learners in the Free State Top 100 last year, Boitumelo Secondary School says the Class of 2026 is aiming even higher.
Grade 12 learner Matshediso Malaba said the class is focused, disciplined, and ready to rise to the challenge.

The school did not only excel academically. With an overall 91% matric pass rate, Top 100 achievers, and near-sweeps in various sporting competitions, Boitumelo Secondary School continues to establish itself as a centre of excellence.
The school principal, Malefane Ramateketse attributed the success to hard work, teamwork, and consistent learner support.

Meanwhile, Howard Ndaba, who was celebrating his birthday on the day, also took the opportunity to congratulate the learners and encourage them to remain committed to their goals.
