Ficksburg – Boitumelo Secondary School in Meqheleng has once again stamped its authority on academic excellence after producing three matriculants in the Free State Top 100.
The announcement was made by the school principal, Malefane Ramateketse, who praised both learners and educators for their discipline and commitment throughout the year.

Celebrations were particularly spirited in the sciences. Zolani Majongolo, a Physical Sciences educator, could not hide his excitement after the school achieved a 100% pass rate in Physical Sciences.

One of the standout achievers, Mafusi Khabane, said perseverance and consistent effort were key to his success.
“Hard work paid off,” she said after obtaining five distinctions.

With the class of 2025 now part of the school’s proud history, attention has already shifted to the 2026 matric cohort, who are gearing up to raise the bar even higher.

Editorial: We planned to visit more schools including primary schools but due budget contracts we can’t. We proposed this to Dr Mamiki Mathlabs Maboya, MEC for Education but she blueticked us.

Next week shift gear into student accomplishments in and around Bloemfonteinas 2025 matriculants will seek to start life at tertiary level.
