Staff reporter

Tweespruit – Fresh from a blast by Gwede Mantashe, National Chairperson of ANC saying counsellors are “good at singing but have no capacity to manage municipalities”, at least 17 councillors in Setsoto Local Municipality proved him right.

This after the ANC councillors voted to review an arbitration award by CCMA in favour of Themba Marotholi, Director of Technical Services who was dismissed on the 29 June 2025.

The municipality didn’t participate in the arbitration process and councillors used their majority to take the matter to labour court.
