Mathae and Dukwana clash while Integrity Committee gives ANCWL TG 7 days or step aside

Staff reporter

Bloemfontein – The Provincial Working Committee (PWC) meeting of ANC in Free State almost turned into a boxing match.

This after Joyce “Pretenders” Mathae, African National Congress Women’s League Treasurer General allegedly accused Mxolisi Dukwana, Provincial Chairperson of tabling her “matter” in the NEC. The matter in question is the Integrity Committee’s report.

Sources with initiate knowledge say Dukwana took strong exception to that accusation and told Mathae he was not even there when her “matter“ was tabled.

The Integrity Committee (IC) chaired by veteran Reverend Frank Chikane has given Mathae seven days to lay a criminal case against Patrick “The Butcher” Phuti or she must step aside according to sources with intimate knowledge. This is in relation to corruption allegations made by Phuti last year. The NPA is yet to decide whether to charge Mathae or not.

Insiders say Mathae told IC she was the victim.

Thabo Meeko, spokesperson for African National Congress in Free State didn’t respond to our questions.
