WhatsApp text and payment link ANCWL Conference to  Phuti

Staff reporter

Bloemfontein – The Madlanga Commission revelations of payments presented by General Khumalo regarding January 8 payments, may be shocking to few not certainly not all.

Last year, Patrick “The Butcher” Phuti detonated a suicide bomb after his contract was cancelled. Something Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala at least promised to do a day before he was arrested.

What Phuti did is what Matlala promised to do although he never got an opportunity to do as he was arrested.

In a long text to Joyce “Pretenders” Mathae, Phuti said he delivered R1 million to Mathae at Southern Sun hotel.

“I delivered R1 million to you at Southern Sun hotel before Women’s league conference, after my second invoice I gave your husband R500 000, paid taxis to Women’s league conference .”

Below is a screen shot of a conversation prior to conference in which Mathae was elected Treasurer General.

Four days later, on the 12 July 2023, R100 000 was paid via FNB with Thulani Thulani as reference.

It was the same Thulani according to Phuti that told him Mathae wanted his contract to be terminated.

NPA and Hawks

While Advocate Navilla Sobaru,  Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is still applying her mind on whether to charge Mathae or not, she has been applying her mind since November 2024.

With the Hawks having failed to answer why their official met Mathae on the 11 October 2024, on the day EFF opened a criminal against Mathae, we will ask General Masemola for answers.

Dr Roy Jankelsohn of the DA also opened a case and submitted an affidavit.

In December Advocate Sobaru asked Judge President Mosi for a judge outside Free State to preside over political linked cases and judging by some judgments handed in the past few months, we might be forced to agree with Advocate Batohi and LG Mkhwanazi that judiciary is compromised.
