Bloemfontein – The recent focus on Sector Education Training Authority (SETA) boards appointments is nothing new as it exposes the systematic cronyism across State Owned Enterprises.
What has so far been proven is the appointment of chairpersons of boards albeit withdrawn is a reasonable bias or nepotism and cronyism.
Dr Nobuhle Nkabane, Minister of Higher Education came under fire from her colleagues in cabinet mainly; EFF’s Sihle Lozi and DA’s Karabo Khakhau and could face criminal investigations.
Nkabane is accused of misleading parliament and the Democratic Alliance has referred her to ethics committee.
In Free State, the board of at least four SOEs are headed by comrades.
