Parys – The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Free State has responded to our follow question on the matter between Patrick “The Butcher” Phuti of New Beginnings Project and Joyce Pretenders” Mathae, Free State Premier and Treasurer General of African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL).
On the 21 November 2024, we asked NPA to confirm if the docket has been handed to them by the DPCI after the the latter confirmed in writing to have handed to docket for decion making.
In response, Mojalefa Senokoatsane, spokesperson for National Prosecuting Authority did not deny what the DPCI said.
“Please note that your inquiry is still be studied and once the contents have been proved to be factual, you will then be provided with a formal response.”
Two months later, we sent a follow up enquiry and Sekotsoane said they are unable to issue a comment.
“Unfortunately, at this stage, we are unable to issue a comment.”

We we were the first ones to report of the meeting Joyce “Pretenders” Mathae, former MEC for Community Safety, Roads, and Transport had together with Dr Masego Tshabalala, head of Department and 25 contractors.
In that meeting Mathae threatened contractors with termination if they don’t “plough back”.
Chickens are coming home.
Mathae, according to provincial website completed her matric from Mariasdal Secondary School.
