Bloemfontein – The saga of transfers in Free State Provincial Government is turning out to be like an onion, you can’t reach the core at one go.

Following the expose we published last about Public Service Commission ruling in favor of Thembi Mohai, who argued she didn’t posses the qualifications and skills for the post she was transferred to, PSC further advised the department of Community Safety, Roads, and Transport to consider qualifications and skills are aligned to posts employees are transferred to.

Khotso Makhema, former Personal Assistant to the late MEC Ouma Tsolo, who allegedly has matric only, has been laterally transferred to labour relations as deputy director.

Makhema according to insiders was absorbed in the department as a supervisor for cleaners.

In a letter to staff in our possession, Makhema swapped with TI Mahlaba going the opposite direction supervise cleaners despite 5+ years of experience in labour relations.

Both Makhema and Mahlaba are deputy directors.

A Deputy Director post requires at least three year qualification, NQF level 6.

In another shocking transfer, Advocate Ntlhare, assistant director Labour Relations was transferred to Community and Partnership Development.

Only in government an Advocate will be Assistant Director and a matriculant a Deputy Director.

In the nearest future, we will focus on the most important position Human Resources as another employee heading HR does not have any HR qualifications.
