Leaked or choreographed, Mathae security detail compromised

Bloemfontein – The picture doing the rounds on social media paint a glaring picture of security detail of Joyce Mathae, Free State Premier.

Recovering Mathae took to social media to lambast those she viewed as “pretenders” after her picture was shared on various social media platforms.

We edited the picture in question out of respect and Ubuntu.

This after acting Premier, Jabu Mbalula released a media statement about the (leaked) picture of Mathae seemingly unconscious in hospital bed.

“We must respect the Premier’s privacy during this time. Sharing or circulating this image is not only unethical, but also undermines her right to dignity and privacy, as protected by our Constitution’.”

“The Provincial Government appeals to the public to demonstrate empathy and understanding, allowing Premier Letsoha-Mathae to recover in privacy. “We appreciate the public’s interest in the Premier’s well-being, but we must balance this with respect for her privacy,” added Acting Premier Mbalula.

Supporters of Mathae took to social media on Thursday after news broke she took sick leave. and gave a hint of what Mathae’s sick leave is for “operation”.

This is how Joyce responded to those who expressed disgust at the sharing of her picture in such a position.

Sources close to Mathae say she went for breast reduction.

Mathae is on sick leave till 15 December 2024.

Much as Mathae does not care about her picture being shared, this exposes those close to her as only few could have access to her in hospital bed let alone take a picture but her reaction is a spat on the acting Premier who released a statement rebuking sharing of her picture.
