Bloemfontein – The Public Service Commission in the Free State is accused of failing to address complaints by staff.
In a letter sent to President Cyril Ramaphosa, Fikile Mbalula, Secretary General of ANC and Public Service Commission, among others are in the list of recipients, it’s the commission that convened a meeting with department top brass.
However, the employees allege as complainants they have never been interviewed and it’s business as usual.
They also accuse the commission of failing to monitor appointments, abnormal salaries, and level adjustments.
This is concerning as the appointment that happened just five days after the closing date which they allege is part of cadre deployment.
According to the advertisement in possession of this publication, the post was advertised on level 11, however, a few months later the employee was adjusted to level 12 and further appointed to act as director while on probation, a position that is level 13.
With all said, the content on social media pages of the department raise serious questions about the competence of the person in charge of communications.

When asked, PSC said they only investigate case reports and this is against what their mandate, on the website is.
This is a developing story.
