Bloemfontein – The legal battle between Joyce Mathae, Free State Premier, and Mosa Masemene, Head of Human Settlement is far from over.
This is after Mathae served papers in the Supreme Court of Appeal challenging the confirmation of the interim order handed down by acting Judge Mahlangu on 16 August 2024.
Mahlangu confirmed the rule nisi order by Judge Molitsoane, a week earlier(8 August 2024).
According to Johannesburg-based law firm, Selepe Attorneys, representing Mathae, acting Judge Mahlangu erred and;
- Masemene consented to the transfer in a meeting only to retract after the meeting,
- Masemene’s alleged lack of knowledge in matters of social development does not constitute harm,
Interestingly, nothing about public interest is mentioned in her papers.
Mathae met Dr Takisi Masiteng on the 15 July 2024 and Masemene on the 30 July 2024, but it was Masemene who got the transfer letter.
This practice of using state money is what former Premier, Ace Magashule was accused off and it is now done by the incumbent.
This is a developing story.

Diagnoses have to be made first to check if the matter in question qualifies for legal intervention. Some officials uses legal intervention which they do not pay for, whilst the person that challenges the unfairn practices has to endure the exorbitant legal fees.
The state is losing millions to attorneys for unsrupulous officials who do not want to account for their unacceptable actions.
Officials must use their own money to fight their battles which should be reimbursed once they win the case.
Government officials go unpunished most of the time. They protected by creation of a protracted litigation strategy which disadvantages complainants or victims.
Do your proper research to look for Selepe attorney, and you will thank me later. This is a complete abuse and misuse of state resources. They are just a firm of instructing attorneys for some big political players in the free state. Its not an accident that they are proffered in the case. It smacks of msibi s influence

There is harm to the people expecting this individual who does not have a clue to help them.. Yes to him there is no direct harm realizable immediately bcos he would still be earning salary for doing absolutely nothing when he arrives in Social Development . However, his reputation is at stake here and that is harm to him.
As mec of transport the collapsed the department and it remains dysfunctional to this day. The ANC national thanked her with premiership to perform publicity stunt! She is promoting mkp
Thieving piece of scum.
I am currently facing an arbitration hearing on a similar matter with Department of Health free state. I was transfer and paid resettlement cost to take up a different job ( change my employment contract) by MEC of health 5years ago, July 2024, I was dismissed unfairly as a result of that transfer that occured in 2018. Free state department of health is denying that such transfer happened despite of the paper base evidence . Now I am fighting a legal battle in proofing that such transfer did occur and it has affected my life .
