Bloemfontein – The African National Congress (ANC) in Luthuli house is allegedly in six and sevens over what the former Secretary General and Premier, Ace Magashule could do to the already divided and fragmented province ahead of national elections.
Magashule who got suspended over the controversial step aside and ultimately booted out over his suspension of Cyril Ramaphosa is allegedly living rent-free in Luthuli House as the ANC feels the 61.14% the party got in the previous elections could be severely affected.
STEPUP has it on good authority the national leadership is aiming to send its powerful delegation to campaign in the province.
Currently, all critical people in the party are in government as the Premier and MECs leaving and no one to do party work daily or at least weekly;
Chairperson
Deputy Chairperson
Treasurer
Deputy Secretary
Head of Elections
ANCWL Treasurer
What is also not helping the new leadership is their very own factions, dividing the already divided party after the chaotic provincial conference.
In the previous national elections, the ANC won by 57.5%: a 30-seat majority below is how the ANC performed in other provinces:
GP ANC won by 50.19%: a 1-seat majority,
FS ANC won by 61.14%: a 4-seat majority,
KZN ANC won by 54.22%: a 4 seat majority,
Northern ANC won by 57.54%: a 3-seat majority,
The ANC is likely to lose its majority in GP, FS, KZN, and the Northern Cape, which will lead to losing its majority in the national parliament as well.
This is why Free State is important and the recent by-elections in Free State paint a glaring picture of how voters view the ANC.
Unfortunately for the ANC, they won’t worry about DA, EFF, and ACT only, there is also ATM which will certainly take a huge chunk in the Thabo Mofutsanyane region.
With the panic of what Magesh might do, the Kaizer Sebothelo led ANC is allegedly planning a reshuffling targeting anyone they think might be close to ANC, juveline politics.
If you look at Bloemfontein, is it better or worse than it was 30 years ago?
When you cast your vote these are the questions you must answer.
