Bloemfontein – The African National Congress (ANC) announced all members fingered in the state capture commission will appear before the disciplinary committee.
The ANC’s national executive committee (NEC) met over three days at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg where, among other things, it received a report from its integrity commission.
The commission is a body within the party that handles members whose actions may have brought it into disrepute.
Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe, Sports Minister Zizi Kodwa, and Deputy Secretary General, Nomvula Mokonyane are some of the senior ANC members occupying prominent positions in government despite being implicated by the State Capture Commission.
ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula said all 90 members had appeared before the Integrity Commission and their matters were now at the disciplinary committee stage.
He said the commission would be appearing before the NEC on Friday.
“What will be discussed in terms of the Integrity Commission is to finalize the terms of reference of the Integrity Commission is to table the step-aside guidelines as adopted by the previous NEC for affirmation by the new NEC.”
Mbalula said the integrity commission would also provide an update on new cases.
Mxolisi Dukwana appeared before the state capture commission and said he received R10 000 from the Gupta family in their Saxonworld mansion which he said was for fuel. At the time Dukwana was MEC and had access to state resources but accepted money from the Guptas.

It was in the same commission that Dukwana said corruption was happening in the Free State government and after almost a year as a Premier, he has not opened a case against anyone he alleged to be involved in corruption.
His name appears in the CR17 sealed bank statements.
Dukwana as MEC of both COGTA Human Settlement was in the EXCO meeting where plans to give pads tender to women associated with leaders and government land were eyed was hatched.
According to those in attendance then, he said nothing.
The more things change, the more they stay the same or rather, worsen.
Mahlengi Bengu, spokesperson for the ANC didn’t respond to our questions about Dukwana’s concession of the R10 000.
