Bloemfontein – The Public Works and Infrastructure department in Free State has officially handed over at least one refurbished building to social development with COGTA next in the receiving end.
This was said by Dibolelo Mahlatsi, MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure in the province on Friday in an interview with Thuso “Singapore” Motaung on Lesedi FM’s Jwale Ke Nako.
Mahlatsi who took over from Tshidi Koloi after the provincial conference, said her department will also hand over another building to COGTA.
“We have handed over this building to social development and another building is 90-95% done and it will be handed over to COGTA.”
With matriculants writing their final exams starting today, Mahlatsi says they will be building a school in Xhariep.
It’s not yet clear when the department will hand over the exam marking centre.
In the coming days we will be visiting few departments/projects and report of the progress thus far based in the budget bites of different MECs.
