Blood in water as Free State prepares for its Provincial Conference while a plan to assassinate Nompondo is thwarted

Following our article last week in which we reported African National Congress Women’s League  (ANCWL), Sefora Ntombela seemingly endorsed Thabo Manyoni earlier in the year something sources said she will be his deputy, but she has suddenly decided to take the bull by its horn.

For many who thought the contest will be between Mxolisi Dukwana, IPC Convenor, and MEC for both COGTA and Human Settlement, Thabo Manyoni, former Mangaung Mayor, and Tate Makgoe, Education MEC, please think again.

There are three more names that have been thrown in the hat as sharks smell blood in the water as William Bulwane, Police, Roads and Transport MEC is now joined by two underdogs Toto Makume and Saki Mofokeng and Ntombela.

In essence, there are 7 names, by 7 we mean 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 names of people who are eyeing the hot seat and that should tell you how messy the Free State province is.

Yes, it is good for democracy but it does one thing and that is to show that there has never been unity in the first place.

This is in a province that last voted in national in 2007 at Polokwane and with the 2012 and 2017 conferences set aside by the courts with delegates not allowed to vote also, it completes the puzzle and this is exactly what Prof PLO Lumumba said.

“If you want wealth without working for it join African politics.”

It is alleged Bulwane and Ntombela are pressurizing Nompondo to declare his support for their slates something he is keeping close to his chest.

Ntombela has now raised her hand and her campaign theme is “Women who do not move, do not have their political chains” according to sources her campaign is not moving at all for obvious reasons and that has nothing to do with gender politics but her legacy.

If there is one person who should not be convincing delegates with themes is the premier.

Her legacy at Social Development while she was MEC and her premiership is there for everyone to see.

Things have regressed under her leadership.

We requested one-on-one with her to understand why she wants to be the chairperson and premier when the province is in the pits and we still waiting.

She must put halala aside and share her plans because the province has gone to the dogs.

In other news a plan to assassinate Paseka Nompondo, IPC Provincial Coordinator has been thwarted, after the to be assassins allegedly asked permission from rival gang leader and the lid was lifted, more on this in the coming days.
