Threats to Lives as Publication Ups Ante on Alleged Free State Province Graft and Maladministration

Following the first article we published on 14 June 2021, and the ones that followed with a special focus on nepotism, irregular appointments, maladministration, and corruption within the Free State government, threats have come thick and fast ranging from attempts to hack our website and State Security Agency unleashed on us to DESTEA officials digging deep to find any dirt on the publication and its owners and whistleblowers, the stakes are up.
 
 
Step UP SA News has it on good authority that there is a plan to assassinate its owner and his immediate family.

Why would anyone ask for his address and where the kids go to school? To visit and have lunch?
 
We have since reported the matter to law enforcement agencies for investigations, and more information will be shared in due course.
 
We take these threats seriously.
 
As Step UP SA News, we inherently believe in the Freedom of the media as the fundamental right of various media houses-including print, radio, television, and, online. The media should operate freely in society without control, restriction, or censorship.
