Acting Deputy Justice President Celeste Reinders confirmed on Friday, 25th March 2022 that an interim order has been handed by Judge Daniso.
This is after Centlec sought relief following the ejection of Hlonelwa Nkomo, former CFO who on the 15th of February 2022 reported for duty despite the alleged settlement between the two parties.
Judge Daniso had ordered Nkomo not to do the following:
-Enter Centlec premises,
-Resume any of the functions of the Chief Financial Officer
And/or
-Pass herself off as the current CFO or any other contracted officer or the employee of the applicant (Centlec SOC)
Acting Deputy President Reinders has confirmed the interim order and part B will be heard on the 2nd June 2022.

Part B relates to the agreement in which Nkomo alleges Centlec breached.
The power utility recovered over R90 million in a few hours after switching off electricity in five government buildings including OR Tambo, well known as the Premier’s office. The lights were switched on only after the intervention of Kopung Ralikontsane, FPSPG director general.
In other news, Nkomo is instituting a law sue of R7.5 million plus R250 000 against James O’Reilly of Symington De Kok for defamation relating to articles published in City Press dated 31 August 2021 and Step Up SA News dated 11 March 2022.
Lele Mamatu, Centlec spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
